What are the limits of the Bitcoin.com Dividend Calculator? I think i read you can distribute dividends to a maximum of 2500 cryptocurrency addresses. Is that correct? Are there plans to increase the limits if such limits exist?

Is API import to tax calculating software such as cointracking.info or bitcoin.tax safe? Can someone please explain it to me in layman's term what is an API import?

I am asking this question because I am not a technical person and wanted to make sure that I understand it at least in laymans term before I move forward.
This year it seems like tax calculation for cryptocurrency transactions are painful when doing it manually and found these two sites which will calculate it for you. I want to use the API import if its safe. Also, if anyone else has used it previously, your insights would be greatly appreciated.

Does the price of bitcoin effect monero's? How is it calculated? What dictates it's price? Is there a delay between

I'm noticing a decline in the price of monero, but a steady rise in bitcoin. If the amount of USD's required to purchase one bitcoin rises, then the amount of BTC required to purchase one XMR coin would decrease, but since the USD value of bitcoin increased, the monero value shouldn't change based on that conversion of USD>BTC>XMR. I'm wondering if the price of monero is accurately being shown on the markets. Is monero calculated by the markets from the exchanges of monero to other currencies or only bitcoin? I feel like an idiot asking these questions but I'm concerned about monero's decline in it's defined value.

What is the "like-kind exchange treatment of altcoins" described on the bitcoin.tax calculate page?

Is that why my tax liability is so high? I'm being charged 100% profit tax on all transfers even though I didn't actually make any profit.
Like, say I bought $1000 worth of Etherium on Coinbase and sent it to Bittrex, then sold it for BTC so I could trade. I don't have to pay $100 tax on this do I?
How do you switch to like-kind exchange treatment on bitcoin.tax?

[Serious] How to deal with Crypto Tax 2020?

First of all, please upvote for visibility + more opinions - this concerns all of us. Also, if you're stupid enough to think you'll get away with avoiding tax's despite KYC'ing to Coinbase & Binance don't bother commenting. News flash! you're gonna end up paying that tax in the long run + huge fines eating into your gains (or even putting you into debt).

Anyways... I started investing in 2017. As a noob I did what most people did, chased multiple shitcoins, bought and sold various different pumps getting wrecked along the way. Then towards the end of the year, my portfolio increased significantly... but I DIDN'T sell - so I didn't "crystalise" any gainz. (I sold a couple hundred here and there during hard financial times, but I'm guessing nothing close to the free capital gains allowance).
Fast forward just over 2 years, since then I've been buying BTC/ETH/XMR on a consistent basis. It's getting to the point where if I were to sell enough of my stack, I'd owe tax as it'd be over the "allowed" CGT threshold.
That leads me to my question... how the fuck are you supposed to calculate capital gains tax when it comes to crypto? For the past 3 years I've traded in and out of alt-coins on multiple exchanges (some of which don't even exist anymore). It would be easy if it was just FIAT IN vs FIAT OUT, but the fact that CRYPTO to CRYPTO is considered taxable just makes it a nightmare! On top of that I did some freelance work (paid in BTC) which adds to the complexity.
Take another example of what confuses me: Say I bought 1BTC on Coinbase in 2017, then 1BTC on Kraken in 2018, then 0.5BTC on Coinbase again in 2019, and hold them all in the same wallet. Then if I were to sell 0.5BTC in 2020, what Bitcoin was actually sold? Half of the 1 BTC bought in 2017? Is it FIFO?
I genuinely don't know where to start and need help. I don't want to be in a shitty situation (for example some massive 2017-esque bull run happens just before the end of the tax year and I decide to cash out and have 3 days to sort shit out). I want to be prepared.

I've come across services such as https://www.cointracker.io/ /https://bitcoin.tax/ etc but feel really hesitant to give quasi-unknown companies full read access to my wallet addresses, portfolio amount, personal email address etc. Privacy is key in the crypto space and I don't want another attack vector especially after seeing much more established companies such as Ledger fucking up (idiots) and losing my personal data.
What do I do? I've even thought of selling EVERYTHING to FIAT and immediately buying it all back and taking whatever fine comes my way on the chin just so I can clearly track crypto transactions and not have to stress about it.
If anyone has experience with crypto tax's please share any information that may be valuable to me/all the many others that are in the same situation as me.

TL;DR: Bought loads of Bitcoin and Shitcoins throughout the past 3 years, finally starting to total up to an amount that'd be taxable if I sold a chunk - dafuq do I do regarding Taxes?

I was trying to come up with a figure for what I thought Bitcoin could reach and I tried to find out how much money is in the U.S. now to use that in the calculation but...

i found this "There was approximately $1.25 trillion in circulation as of February 19, 2014, of which $1.2 trillion was in Federal Reserve notes. ", how can that be possible if we are 14 trillion in debt. we are in debt 14 times more than we even have money in the entire united states? i must be a dumbass because i don't get it.

What is the "difficult calculation/formula" that miners use to find new bitcoins?

I have repeatedly looked across many different information sources but everything just mentions it as some "difficult equation". I ask because I am interested in the mathematics behind it and want to see whether an experimental quantum computer I have access to might be able to solve it faster than a classical computer.

How is your passive income from Crypto going in 2020? So far I have made around $11k plus from approximately 13 or so sources. Details below.

I remember in 2017 there were epic stories of people making fortunes from free crypto-giveaways – for example, the nano faucet gave people fantastic wealth if they held on all year. Then there were things like the various bitcoin forks – great if you cashed in.
Now in 2020 there seems to be another uptrend in terms of the ability to get “free crypto” – in various ways. Overtime this can build up to quite a lot.
This year I have:
  1. Coinbase earn – I’ve done almost all of these and have had a few referrals. I think I earned maybe $200 or so all up, cashed in BTC, and that BTC is probably around $400
  2. Reddit moons – I have earned 3100 moons, sold for roughly $220
  3. Uniswap – My free 400 tokens are still held, so they are worth maybe $1200
  4. Binance Coin – lots of staking and lottery compensation payments here – for example, I recently sold my Flamingo, Venus and Alpha tokens – maybe $30;
  5. Hex – Yes I know it’s a scam, but I think I bit have a decent little payout in a month when my 90% locked tokens open (won’t say how much as that will reveal my BTC wallet holdings);
  6. Swissborg – A fun little “guess the bitcoin app” that has $50 worth of tokens in it now;
  7. Brave Browser – I’ve earned like $20 from that this year (insert: “Its not much but its honest work gif”);
  8. Uniswap Pools etc – Hard to calculate this one but I’m earning some really great fees and Uni from pooling WBTC and WETH – about 0.5% return a week. Was also previously staking Uni / ETH - I made $1000 in fees but mostly gobbled up by impermanent loss.
  9. Honeyswap – Every 48 hours, I log-in to get free honey from the faucet – around $40 or so;
  10. Survey – I did a phone survey for a local project and got given $100 of free tokens;
  11. Livepeer – No idea what this is but I sold two airdrops for around $20;
  12. Nexus Mutual – Probably the king here. Invested $1200 worth. Received a 58% dividend on the first day of staking (say $700) which I reinvested. That $700 is now $8000 or something ridiculous (and itself earning rewards), plus another 13 NXM (So another $416 on top).
  13. And then lots of rats and mice rewards from things like staking Celsius, staking Tezos referral rewards etc. I even have 3000 of that damn Pi coin thing but don’t know where that is going.
  14. And to top it off a free ledger nano for participation in a private group on FB
  15. (EDIT: I forgot to mention I am currently winning a "pick four" crypto competition that I entered in January where you pick four cryptos and the winner takes the pot. I picked BTC, FTX, SNX and CEL - so that might be another $200 to add to my collection!)
So in all, that is an entire bitcoin just for doing a bunch of crazy stuff. Who said it was difficult to join the 21 million club?
So for some people that might be considered a decent pay package for a full time job! What other opportunities do you guys have where you have passive income coming from crypto? Am I missing any obvious ones here?

Name a 2017 / 2018 moonshot IEO that was initially popular and is now either dead or ghosting away - I'll start, SVD

SVD is Savedroid. Savedroid was an ICO in 2018 right at the peak of the mania, not quite at the top price wise, but still when greed was insanely high.
Now SVD raised an incredible $50 million, for an app that simply automates your saving. That's it. In today's environment I can see that going for maybe $500k or so, IF that. Maybe they could call themselves a Defi food coin instead and get some money in via uniswap.
Demand was very high, with all tokens sold in a week. So all it would do is you would set some criteria - say, if I do 10 push ups a day I want to save $1 into BTC, you'll input that and the app would buy the bitcoin with $1. (I have no idea why you couldn't do that manually, but anyway).
Things got off to a bad start when on day 1 the CEO, Yassin Hankir decided to pull a "fake exit scam", with a twitter message "thanks guys, over and out" with the website replaced with the message "...and its gone". He then back pedalled and said actually it was a joke and meant to show case other scammy projects. Investors weren't particularly amused, especially as this coincided with the coin listing, causing the price to plunge into the eternal depths of hell faster than Grin Coin or an FTX listing.
Well that doesn't really matter because the project seems to have died, with the founder moving onto another project, leaving behind an app that is apparently barely functional, and doesn't even allow ICO investors to use their SVD on the platform.
The ICO price was 1 cent - pretty cheap right? Well no, apparently the token price is now $0.0000541 with a daily volume of zero. Market cap it $158k, but no idea how that is calculated. Not exactly a great way to save if you were an investor!
Naturally they have been delisted from all but a couple of obscure DEXes and even there volume is dead (this is despite various promises of top exchanges).
And the cherry on top - last week the project rebranded as "Trumpbit", a new app that does the same thing (converts your money into BTC) by a certain amount each time Trump tweets. Only problem is people are having trouble moving their funds across from one platform to another, lost email addresses etc. I have no idea what happens if Trump loses the election, maybe it will be come Bidenbit or something. This is of course leaving aside the fact that your $50M ICO has rebranded to a coin named after Trump (not a political comment but a bit of a head scratcher).
You can even pop by their reddit sub, where there have been around 4 comments in 1 year, or if you are bold, visit their telegram group to see various howls of outrage and people wondering where their investment has gone.
Name and shame your preferred coin of death!
